Major project:
KONTAKT
Kontakt is a tool to be used for participatory performances and installations. It explores the power of physical touch and sound as a new means of communication in a networked, but atomised, society.
Challenging the boundaries between the individual and the collective, human bodies are turned into momentary and unpredictable conductors, where sound that is passed through skin and bodies behaves like a collective intelligence. The use of analogue media, such as skin, metal and electricity, establishes heterogenous connections on an affective and sensory plane; whereas the digital seems to homogenise these connections on an infinite plane of translation and conversation.

Exploring philosophical and scientific notions to examine the boundaries between reality and fantasy – I reflect on the digitisation of society and question what these developments mean for the human body and connectivity. To this end, collaborative work is used as a key part of my practice, with the aim of creating sensory experiences in a variety of mediums that are interactive and audience led.
