Raw Material: algoànnas, considers the role of nature in sensory perception and maintenance. The installation, consisting of a traditional Sámi 'kota' structure and a 20-minute short film, explores the relationship that indigenous cultures have to nature, and how this approach can help mediate some of the effects of sensory overstimulation in urban environments.
The multi-sensory experience, consisting of audio, video, projection, and organic materials, is intended to promote nature-relatedness by encouraging a cross-cultural methodology in learning – taking the knowledge of the Sámi community of Northern Lapland, Finland, and translating it into a format that both celebrates and questions the digital realm.

My practice revolves around multi-sensory design experiences and raw exchanges of information delivered through visual and narrative means. I have a specific interest in communicating issues of contemporary relevance through multimodal processes including illustration, film and installation.
