Major project:
Spectrum
Every object, including ourselves, seems to have a radio attached to it. We are constantly busy transmitting and receiving, which subsequently floods our environments with signals. To a certain extent, we ultimately live in the invisible world of radiation as opposed to our visible buildings and cities.
As contemporary urban life becomes increasingly modified by digital technologies, ranging from city-wide implementation of free wifi infrastructure to the emergence of cellular 5G systems, the body’s relationship to technology, privacy and rest is constantly at stake and has the potential to expand.
Spectrum explores architecture's agency in the mediation of these waves within an increasingly connected urban environment.
