Major project:
The Reincarnation City
The city we live in is never the same. From the construction of the first city to the present metropolis, the city has gone through several times of reconstruction and destruction. When a building is built, it begins to fall into ruins. The destruction and reconstruction of the city are the 'Samsāra' of the city again and again.
The lifespan of a city is far longer than the human’s, a city often has thousands of years of life. Cities watch the dynamics and demise of our species. It records the mark of humanity in a much longer span.
If there is a place where we have seven days of life, every day we live, the city goes through a cycle. We can see the history from the first city Ur to the famous Pompeii and then to the future city. From nothing to nothing, we will have what kind of memory of the city?
