Show RCA work

Major project:

A Breach of Margins

The project A Breach of Margins presents a series of fractures in the fundaments of various constructs. In the most literal interpretation, it reconfigures physical elements present in construction places, dragging their symbolic content in the process. Narrative lines trickle out through the open gap, allowing the work to graze different aspects of the subject: male performativity in relationship with physically demanding work, tensions between technology and manual labour, or the use of the human body as material. At a formal level, the staged photograph allows the introduction of defamiliarising devices, forcing the nuances of the topic to flow through the cracks present in an undermined photographic fourth wall. Ultimately, the work operates as a question: can play become emancipatory?
