• My practice is deeply invested in an investigation and questioning of what constitutes painting. My work incorporates a variety of techniques and linguistic devices: colour, materiality, format, history and context. I use these languages to investigate narrative triggers and possibilities for pictorial space: the role of the internal space of the painting in relation to the 'real space' of the wall. All of this embodies an ongoing questioning of language, imagination, personal story-telling, materiality and identity.
