Major project:
Playing Poker with the Bull, the Shark and the Monkey
This piece combines different elements of my practice to create an installation. The title of the piece is taken from my performance piece Royal Flush which involved myself playing poker at the Grosvenor, Europe’s largest poker room – a short cycle from my studio at the RCA Kensington. Following the thought process that, once you decide to commit yourself to being an artist, everything you do from that point onwards is a gamble, I played poker to pay my fees: £9500 for UK students at that time.
