Close to Home
My work explores domestic trauma and its long lasting effects on family members. The trauma of family life will not be easily calmed down. It will appear repeatedly and cause different influences in different stages of life. I tell the stories of my own childhood traumatic experiences and use this as the catalyst to create artwork. Intending to develop empathy between artwork and the audiences.
