  • Chiara Barbieri is an MPhil student on the V&A/RCA course in History of Design, where she works on Italian graphic design from the 1930s to the 1960s. She completed her BA and MA (2005-2010) in History of Contemporary Art at La Sapienza University, Rome, and graduated from the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2012. She interned at the Kurt Schwitters-Archive (Hannover, 2011), and has worked as an archivist and a collections manager for contemporary art galleries and private collections, and as a research assistant for curators and design magazines. Her research interests include graphic design, twentieth-century German art, propaganda and political caricature.
