  • Originally from South Korea, Yoony Choi is a structural packaging designer and researcher exploring the sustainable future of packaging design. 

    Yoony has a BA in Product Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design and received her MA in Communication Design from Kingston University. During her studies, she won prizes for her packaging designs in the ICI Dulux Student Design Award and the Toshiba Hard Disc Drive Revolution Design Competition, which steered her towards the world of packaging.

    Following her MA, Yoony worked as a 3D packaging designer at Bluemarlin Brand Design, London, led numerous industry projects and brought ideas to market. She also worked at Samsung Design Europe in London and Kang & Kang Law in South Korea as a researcher.

    Her drawings and design ideas have appeared in magazines including Design Week and New Design. She also participated in the exhibition Design Trust for Public Space at Parsons School of Art and Design, New York, in 2006.
