MPhil/PhD Registration Periods

The minimum and maximum registration periods for the degrees of MPhil and PhD are:

MPhil

Minimum registration period full-time: 2 academic years

Minimum registration period part-time: 4 academic years

Maximum registration period full-time: 3 academic years

Maximum registration period part-time: 6 academic years

 PhD

Minimum registration period full-time: 3 academic years (including any period registered as an MPhil student; at least 1 year should be at PhD status)

Minimum registration period part-time: 6 academic years (including any period registered as an MPhil student; at least 2 years should be at PhD status)

Maximum registration period full-time: 4 academic years (including any period registered as an MPhil student; at least 2 years should be at PhD status)

Maximum registration period part-time: 7 academic years (including any period registered as an MPhil student; at least 3 years should be at PhD status)
