The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the RCA organises its practice-based research activity within three research spaces.
Each research space works with a range of academic and business partners and with funding from UK research councils.
All three research spaces are underscored and supported by new RCA graduates conducting practice-led design research on the Helen Hamlyn Research Associates Programme, supported by a record of professional and academic publishing in the field and by UK Research Council awards.
In 2020, the Centre also launched the Public Toilets Research Unit, which brings together inclusive and people-centred design research to improve toilet provision for all.
