Entrepreneurs in Residence

We are looking for experienced highly accomplished entrepreneurs and executives from diverse sectors who have started and managed successful enterprises to join us in our business incubator and work with us and our portfolio of graduate design-led, hardware, start-ups.

As an InnovationRCA EiR you would have an advisory and mentoring role, helping early stage graduate entrepreneurs and student ‘wannabe’ entrepreneurs make the most of their disruptive ideas and turn them into scalable businesses.  You would also have an opportunity to help the InnovationRCA team appraise new ideas and new business propositions as well as expand and develop its highly successful entrepreneurship programmes.  You would serve in a part-time capacity (typically 2 days a week for 3-6 months - to be agreed with you) and be based in our Incubator (Dyson Building, Battersea). 

InnovationRCA has a strong track record of nurturing the best British design-led graduate start-ups among them Concrete Canvas, Plumis, Roli and Loowatt.

Internships

InnovationRCA is the Royal College of Art’s centre for enterprise, entrepreneurship and intellectual property commercialisation. At any point in time we have a number of design-led engineering/material/technology projects undergoing commercial feasibility assessment or commercialisation either through licensing or spinout formation.  If you are business graduate (preferably MBA) with a technical (industrial design/engineering or science background), a motivated, energetic self-starter, a good communicator and would like to gain some hands on experience of project commercialisation working alongside experienced business professionals please send us full details of your career and experience to date with an indication of your availability to innovation@rca.ac.uk
