World Design Capital Keynote Presentation
The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design Director Rama Gheerawo presented at the World Design Capital conference in Taipei.
Organised by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID), the Centre’s ethos of using design to improve life closely matches their vision of creating a better world. Speaking in the Design for Social Impact session, Rama spoke about projects with migrant workers in Qatar, rebuilding communities in Fukushima and the London Taxi project that the Centre is working on. A panel discussion took place with other speakers including Jocelyn Wyatt from ideo.org, Brian Wen from Continuum and Brandon Gien from Good Design Australia.
