Dreaming of the future? Check out guest curator Masa Inakage’s (founder of KMD) collection Designing for our Dream Futures. Inakage’s collection focuses on projects from the School of Design and he notes ‘designers are responsible for paving the roads toward our dream futures. The selected works represent “dots” of how we envision the dream futures’.
Alumni and renowned designer Paul Priestman has curated a cross-college collection which focuses on Humanity and Humour, ‘good natured creativity’ and a view of design as a vehicle for good in the world.Participate
Art, media and games scholar Dr Darshana Jayemanne (Abertay University) will join former RCA MA Animation artist-in-residence Ian Gouldstone to talk about expanded concepts of animation, including the subject of Gouldstone's residency 'Slow Motion', his term for new types of ultra-durational media that occupy the always-on screens and streams around us. Join the conversation at 11am BST today.
At 6pm BST today join acclaimed novelist, historian and mythographer, Dame Marina Warner, for a monstrous discussion about feminism, animism, horror and folklore with some of the MA writing graduates.At 6.30pm tonight you can drop into Adalberto Lonardi in conversation with Jenny Jones for the School of Architecture. This event is part of the United Generations series and the conversation and project presentation will be followed by an opportunity for discussion and Q&A.

Kyung Jin Jeong (MA Information Experience Design) is a VR and UX designer, visual artist and researcher. Kung’s project ‘In a Small Room: The Gap between Advertising and Reality’ is an exploration of the collision of poor living conditions and the lure of ‘dazzling advertising images’, watch the project here.

Shawn Adams (MA Architecture) is a member of the New Architecture Writers and is the co-founder of Power out of Restriction (POoR), a collective that focuses on the development of communities through the elevation of young people. His final year design project titled 'Plinths and Tapestry' addresses the precarious conditions of the electronic waste settlement in Agbogbloshie, Ghana. Shawn is nominated for the Architectural Review Student Prize for this project, the winner will be announced in September.
