Gareth Loudon joins the RCA
Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Gareth Loudon, will join the RCA as Head of Programme for IDE and GID.
We are delighted to welcome Gareth Loudon to the RCA. Gareth joins us from Cardiff School of Art and Design where he has held the post of Professor of Creativity since 2002.
He is also co-founder and Director of the Centre for Creativity, undertaking research, training and consultancy in key areas of the creative process. His research interests focus on creativity and innovation, combining ideas from anthropology and psychology, engineering and design.
Gareth said: ‘My passion is around transdisciplinarity, so I am really looking forward to starting my new role and exploring new ideas with staff and students. Hopefully I will get a chance to meet everyone in person sooner rather than later.’

Gareth's passion for transdisciplinarity, coupled with his experience gained at the Cardiff School of Art and as Director of the Centre of Creativity, will be a significant asset to the College.'
