Angela Mitten Appointed Director of Building Operations at the Royal College of Art
The Royal College of Art (RCA) is pleased to announce that Angela Mitten joined the College as Director of Building Operations on 3 June 2019. Angela comes from Newham College London, where she was Executive Director/Vice Principal, Estates & Operations, and oversaw a major refurbishment of teaching facilities and capital redevelopment of two student campuses. She will lead the Buildings & Estates team across the College’s three sites.
Angela has extensive professional expertise and experience managing global property portfolios. She has led and directed asset management and estate planning strategies in the UK and internationally, and directly managed flagship redevelopment and construction projects.
Previously, Angela has worked in senior property and operations roles for a number of international charities and NGOs, including as Director, Global Estates for the British Council, where she was accountable for the management of over 300 holdings in 113 countries including adult teaching centres, exams facilities, kindergartens and schools, as well as country representative offices in historic legacy properties, commercial offices and a prestigious central London headquarters.
