Re-, MA Textiles

Explore the RE- collaboration platform, playfully put together to visualise the unique responses that our MA Textiles students have adopted through their creative practices. This body of work saw each student adopting the prefix Re- and completing the word from a unique perspective with relation to their practice. Physical satellite exhibitions of 2021 graduate work from across the College are popping up around London over the next two months - find an event you want to attend and Explore in person.

Diasporas Now
Diasporas Now, MA Contemporary Art Practice

On Thursday 1 July at 16:00 BST join the MA Contemporary Arts Practice students for the launch of Diasporas Now, a live-streaming platform for multidisciplinary artists from various non-Western backgrounds that uses performance as radical acts of self-representation. 

At 17:00 BST on 30 June the Reciprocity and Mutuality in the Biosphere event brings together the final projects from MA Information Experience Design that invite alternative ways of thinking and living with other-than-human species. We challenge what it means to be human and explore ways of creating mutual spaces with other species.

Nour Al Ahmad's (MA Architecture) Memory Encoding is a spatial archive project which reconstructs and preserves memories of a country in turmoil.

Janina Frye's (MA Sculpture) sculptures and installations present a concept of the human — a transformative system with connections, overlaps and entanglements linking the body to the outside world. You can witness here Janina's The warmth of a seat.

William Jacobson (MA Visual Communication) believes in blurring boundaries and fusing extremes. Immerse yourself in William's process-led practice revolving around a passion for calibrating and corrupting a range of meticulous, yet erratic, design-systems in the search of the unexpected. 

Mengtian Zhang (MA Design Products) is a product designer who is exploring the emotional relationships between people and objects. Her project, Sonic-seasoning, is a tableware collection that provides sound feedback from interactions with food to enhance flavours and texture.
