V&A/RCA History of Design January 2019 Open Day

This Open Day is for visitors interested in learning more about studying MA V&A/RCA History of Design or MPhil/PhD History of Design.
Visitors should meet at the Royal College of Art's Kensington campus at 2pm for a welcome talk by Professor Victoria Walsh. Visitors will then be taken to the Victoria and Albert Museum at 3pm for tours of the museum and facilities, after which there will be a chance to talk to staff from the programme, learn more about teaching, professional development opportunities; student and staff research and the programme pathways in Design & Material Culture, Performance, and Photography.
Pre-registration is required for this Open Day.
- 2–2.30pm: Registration at RCA Kensington (Jay Mews entrance)
- 2.30–3pm: Welcome and Introduction to the School of Arts & Humanities by Professor Victoria Walsh, Head of Programme, Curating Contemporary Art
- 3pm: RCA staff will escort visitors to the nearby Victoria & Albert Museum for a presentation and Q&A with History of Design staff and students
