20 March 2017 | 5.30pm 8pm
Victoria & Albert Museum Blythe House Archive, 23 Blythe Rd, London W14 0QX
Join us for an Open Evening at the Victoria and Albert Museum's Blythe House Archive, Kensington, to find out about the MA in History of Design's new Material Cultures of Performance pathway. The Open Evening allows prospective applicants to hear from programme staff and V&A curators, meet with current students and recent graduates, and visit the museum's National Collection of Performing Arts.
The new Material Cultures of Performance pathway, launching in September 2017 (subject to validation), provides students with a unique opportunity to learn from leading industry professionals about the nature, business and practice of performance whilst working with expert curators to examine how the material remains of performance inform our understanding of the performing arts. By engaging with a wide range of materials from the National Collection of Performing Arts at the Victoria and Albert Museum, students will explore how objects and archives provide a lens through which to examine the culture, economics and politics of performance.
