Stewarts Law RCA Secret is an exhibition and sale of original postcard-sized artworks, by internationally acclaimed artists plus up-and-coming graduates from the Royal College of Art.
All postcards are made and donated by professional artists, designers and illustrators, plus up-and-coming students from the College’s Fine Art programmes. For one day only, the cards will be sold to the public in a huge sale, with every postcard costing just £55 each. The secret is that all postcards are displayed anonymously, so viewers don’t know the identity of the artist until they have made their purchase.
The exhibition is the most ambitious yet with postcards already received from some of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists and designers including: Bob & Roberta Smith, Maggi Hambling, Zandra Rhodes, Richard Long, Susan Hiller, Christo, David Bailey, Yinka Shonibare, Ryan Gander, Paula Rego, Nick Park, James Dyson, Norman Ackroyd, Paul Smith and Joseph Kosuth.
Proceeds from the sale goes to the Fine Art Student Award Fund, helping emerging artists at a formative stage in their careers.
Sale day: Saturday 21 March 2015, 8am – 6pm
