Steve Jensen: Adaption/Contraption
Steve Jensen: Adaption/Contraption
Designer, artist and academic, Steve Jensen has operated in and around the built environment for 25 years. Having worked and constructed projects around the world his natural ability to understand and draw space have defined his practice and unique qualities. Obsessed with putting materials together, construction, the existing and what is left behind, his work manifests at all scales, and embraces furniture, contraptions, interiors and buildings that try to respond to a moment, the context, the place or a need. Reflecting contemporary culture it understands the fragility the interior condition, the transient way we go about our lives and how design might respond. The work is democratic, witty and accessible, both accepting, rejecting and challenging commercial methodology.
