Seke Chimutengwende Performance
9 January 2019 | 6pm 7pm
Kensington, Lecture Theatre 1
Plastic Soul tracks the rise and fall of a mythical performer, whose image and identity are constantly morphing. A mix between gig, dance and documentary, Seke Chimutengwende, who has worked with DV8, Lost Dog and Fabulous Beast, steps up to the mic in a series of increasingly demanding and outlandish roles.
As the transformations escalate, what we thought was underneath it all – the human soul – becomes ever more part of the act. Plastic Soul is an experiment in metamorphosis that takes us to the limits of what we can become.
