15 November 2017 | 10am
White City, Garden House, Red Room, Second Floor
In her search for a world that lies beyond sensory experience, Brownwen Buckeridge makes work that encompasses sound, installation and the written word; a live audio performance featuring conversations with dogs, an earthwork made with the assistance of witches, and an exhibition curated by spirits.
Solo presentations include the Estuary Festival 2016, What I Thought I Saw, Saw Me at City Gallery Gdansk, 2016 and the Whitstable Biennale in 2014 and 2012. She has also exhibited extensively in group contexts: Revolver II at Matt’s Gallery in 2014, SV10 at Studio Voltaire, FOAM at Grand Union, Birmingham 2015, and Wysing Space-Time Festival 2014. Recent residences include Blackrock 2015, WAKE at Dilston Grove in 2011 and the LookOut, Aldeburgh, awarded by Studio Voltaire in 2013. Buckeridge studied Modern Languages at the University of Manchester before completing her MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art in 2007.
