Presented by Lucy Brady
The director of an asylum begins to tell the story of one of his patients, Crossley (Alan Bates), to a stranger at a cricket match. At some point in the past, Crossley accosted a composer (John Hurt), who inexplicably invites him to dinner. At the composer's home, Crossley tells of his upbringing among Australian Aborigines, and how this left him with the ability to bring about another's death by using a certain shout. Soon after, he proves his ability by killing sheep in a nearby field and starts to wield a strange influence over the composer's wife (Susannah York), leading to a dramatic confrontation.
