Institutionalised: Is there space for activism within our institutions? A event hosted by the Royal College of Art Feminist Society.

Does the institution act like an ivory tower? Who decides what gets in or out, who can infiltrate, who has access? Is there space within the institution for activism, and is activism a viable profession? Join us for a day of action. We will be challenging privilege and representation, celebrating the work of proactive people and creative projects that question the norm.

Talks, workshops and screeenings in Lecture Theatre 1 and the Courtyard Galleries. Featuring: Harold Offeh, Leah Borromeo, Emily James, LaBartarde, Consented TV, Ladybeard Magazine, Girls in Film, Screening of the VaChina Monologues with Whiskey Chow, Workshops by the Sexual Avengers. The RCA Feminist Society was established in 2015, and is the first of its kind at the RCA. We feel it is important to challenge the structure of privilege and isolationism within the RCA.
