29 November 2021 | 6.30pm

Online

The lecture will share Neyran Turan's (@nyrntrn) recent work, which aims to prompt alternative couplings between environmental imagination and architectural specificity. She will present some of her projects at her architectural office NEMESTUDIO (@nemestudio) and will talk about her recent book Architecture as Measure (Actar Publishers, 2020).

Neyran Turan is a partner at NEMESTUDIO and an Associate Professor at the University of California-Berkeley. NEMESTUDIO has been recognized with several awards, most recently the Architectural League New York Prize for Young Architects, multiple citations at The Architects’ Newspaper Best of Design Awards, Core 77 Design Awards, an ACSA Faculty Design Award.  NEMESTUDIO’s work, ranging from installations to buildings and landscapes, has been widely published and exhibited. Turan’s book Architecture as Measure, which has been awarded by the Graham Foundation, was recently released by Actar Publishers in 2020. Turan acted as the chief curator of the Pavilion of Turkey at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021.
