Graduate Diploma Work-in-progress Show

18 October 2018 to 4 November 2018 | 10am – 5pm

Garden House, Dorando Close, London, W12 7FN

Free

The WIP exhibition is both a showcase and repository of a selection of work from the first 15 weeks of the RCA Graduate Diploma in Art & Design Programme, which launched in July 2018.  It celebrates the work of our 48 students, who come from over 16 different nations, across a wealth of prior experiences and backgrounds including creative education, creative industries, law, the sciences and commerce.

The Graduate Diploma prepares students for Masters level education and is interdisciplinary in nature, mirroring the experience of Master's study at the RCA. The Programme focuses on developing proficiency in the discursive languages and independent learning methods of art and design, and on introducing students to the role and influence of creative practices in the world today.

The Graduate Diploma has five broad specialist pathways: Communication, Fashion/Textiles, Fine Art, Humanities and Product/Interiors/Spatial Design that are aimed at a trajectory toward further postgraduate level study or professional work. The WIP exhibition represents a response to the first three projects that have focused on the following:

  • Project One (Environment): Evolution/Revolution
  • Project Two (City): Navigators
  • Project Three (Object): Artefact
Private View: 18 October, 6–8pm

This event has been organised by the Graduate Diploma in Art & Design. Please contact Matt Lewis for more information.
