The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design in collaboration with the British Sociological Association, Kingston University and the University of Kent present Fashion and Diversity, a one day conference hosted by the Royal College of Art.
This conference brings together academics, cultural critics, designers and industry leaders to debate the issues raised by diversity across the the fashion industry, fashion education and ordinary and everyday fashion practice. Speakers will consider the intersectionalities of race, religion, gender, sexuality, size, disability and age, exploring the ways in which bodies are represented in and through the fashion system and associated media.
