Engagement as Material Symposia
A morning of talks exploring alternative ways of living through ‘Active Engagement’ by Art & Design practitioners. What are the opportunities and benefits of actively engaging audiences/communities, to embed agency for long-term mutual benefit, sustainability and impact?
We invite you to listen to a number of short presentation by leading researchers and practitioners: Professor Miles Richardson (University of Derby), Andy Merritt (Something and Son), Paul Smyth (Something and Son), Josie Tucker (Adapt), Richard Ashton (Adapt), and Dr Sarah West (University of York) will join organisers Nick Gant (Community 21), Dr Rob Phillips (RCA), Mel Brimfield (RCA), Dr Katie Gaudion (RCA), Dr Melanie Jordan (Coventry University), Hannah Stewart (RCA) and Dr Sarah Teasley (RCA).
The speakers will discuss aspects of their practice, share their insights, and offer their views and opinions to to explore the theme of active engagement.
