Design Interactions Lecture Series: The Decorators, Mariana Pestana and Carolina Caicedo

18 February 2015 | 6pm

Kensington, Courtyard Galleries

The Decorators are an interdisciplinary group of practitioners working with space, designing experiences that invite people to engage with objects and places. As a socially engaged design practice, The Decorators’ work usually involves designing and curating temporary interventions in the public realm.

They are committed to re-imagining relationships between people and places: having worked in many contexts undergoing change, The Decorators have developed an interest for doing work that reconnects the physical elements of a place with its social dimension. They are interested in working with local communities, celebrating local assets and building collective projects that strengthen the identity of particular places.
