The Bright Labyrinth Transmission 6 | Darkness Is Good: Radical Intervention in Communication Practice

GH 109, White City

The more we connect with each other, the more violently we seem to disagree. The strip mining of online personal data, plus the politics of anonymity, covert presences and cognitive infiltration has altered the nature of political discourse over the past two decades.  Can any form of mass communication be truly democratic? Is the Internet just one vast conspiracy theory? Is the truth still out there?

Key themes explored in the event include post-truth, agency, social media, cyber-warfare, identity theft, ‘fake news’, political process and reality television.
