Architecture International Lecture Series: Efrén García Grinda & Cristina Díaz Moreno (Amid.Cero9)

7 December 2017 | 6.30pm – 8pm

Kensington, Lecture Theatre 1

About five hundred years ago Jacobo Bonfadio wrote a letter to a fellow humanist describing a new, non-expected entity, partially man-made and partially natural, that was meant to establish connections with things, natural species and facts along time and space. This lecture by Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efrén García Grinda will speculate about how artificial environments can be constituted as small cosmologies, reviewing the recently completed work for the legendary Institución Libre de Enseñanza in Madrid.

Efrén García Grinda and Cristina Díaz Moreno founded amid.cero9, the award-winning experimental practice in 1997, and they are currently Diploma Unit Masters at the Architectural Association and teaching at Princeton University School of Architecture and at the GSD, Harvard University.
