Animatic to Animated

RCA students and staff are invited to a film seminar hosted by Nicky Hamlyn. Animatic to Animated explores the incremental movement from stasis to ‘full’ animation. Between these two states lie forms of quasi-movement, represented by works in which the intervallic construction of the film medium – its presentation as a series of static images that generate apparent movement – is slowed and thereby revealed.
