Blackburn Creative Careers Seminar: Alison Jackson

22 March 2017 | 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Battersea, Gorvy Lecture Theatre

Free, booking required

We are delighted to welcome renowned contemporary artist Alison Jackson as part of the Blackburn Creative Careers Seminars.

Alison Jackson is a BAFTA and multi-award winning contemporary artist who explores the cult of celebrity. Her notorious photographic portraits, life-like sculptures, films and videos are startlingly realistically staged affairs that cast uncannily styled actors into an entirely fathomable projection of a future that could have been.

Her work has established wide respect for her as an incisive, funny and thought-provoking commentator on the burgeoning spectacle of contemporary celebrity culture. She works across all media and arts platforms including TV, books, branded content, press, social media…and even opera.

Through these talks we will be bringing you inspirational speakers, in conversation, to motivate you and help you find out how to carve out your successful career.

We are very grateful to David and Janice Blackburn for generously sponsoring this series of events.
