    • Job Description

      The Royal College of Art is the world’s most influential institution of university status devoted to the study of art, design, humanities and communication and has an international reputation for excellence in teaching, practice and research.

      As Head of Digital Delivery you will be required to lead a programme of work over two years  introducing and embedding six new business applications, including internal communications/intranet, document management, academic timetabling, student records , image library and a virtual learning environment (VLE).

      You will be required to lead all aspects of the programme, working closely with the Director of Information, Learning and Technical Services (DoILTS). You must have a proven ability to deliver projects on time and to tight budgets and possess excellent planning and organisational skills. A proven ability to negotiate with suppliers to secure value-for-money products and services and a proven ability to deliver projects with a significant element of cultural change are essential. It is also essential that you possess the ability to understand and manage the competing needs of a wide range of stakeholders with differing levels of digital literacy in order to shape requirements and develop detailed technical specifications.

      Excellent communication skills are required and the ability to produce written reports and verbal presentations to a varied group of stakeholders including students, academic staff and senior management is essential. Experience of delivering technology projects within a Higher Education setting and experience of using Agile project methodologies to deliver technology projects is desirable.
