  • Biography

  • Tiffany Kaewen Dang is a landscape architect and territorial researcher from Treaty 6 Territory in Canada. Her research lies at the intersections of landscape, native studies, ecology, political theory, history and geography. Her core approach embraces alternate—often non-western and non-patriarchal—knowledge systems for subverting dominant power structures and infrastructural networks shaping territory today.

Tiffany is currently completing a PhD in geography at the University of Cambridge. Her current doctoral research examines the history and evolution of the Canadian national parks system as an infrastructure of colonization, utilizing interdisciplinary discourses on landscape, wilderness and settler-colonialism.

Outside of academic research and teaching, Tiffany is affiliated with the design-based non-profit Open Systems (OPSYS). She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a BA in Architecture from the University of Toronto.
