  • As Head of Major Gifts, Sanjivan helps establish and grow relationships between philanthropic supporters and the Royal College of Art. Working across the entire College, he helps donors find and support the RCA’s visionary people and project.

  • Biography

  • Sanjivan’s wide-ranging experience and training span global investment banking, arts and culture, and the successful building of philanthropic relationships at five–, six– and seven–figure levels.

    Before joining the RCA in 2014, Sanjivan worked in the arts sector for around 15 years as a producer and manager. In various roles, he led and built relationships with many donors and funders. He worked with world-leading artist-led organisations, including Shobana Jeyasingh Dance and Siobhan Davies Dance. He began his arts-sector career in London’s iconic Institute of Contemporary Arts.

    Sanjivan’s career began in global investment banks, including as business development analyst for organisation such as Citigroup, Credit Suisse, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

    Sanjivan holds an MA in Social Psychology from Lancaster University and a BSc. Hons in Biological Sciences (Psychology) from the University of Edinburgh.
