  • Mark is currently acting-up in the position of Project Manager at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design. Before this, Mark was the full-time Administrator for the department. In his current role he is responsible for leading and delivering the Centre’s events, publications, exhibitions and generating online content. He also oversees the administrative processes and office management, and works very closely with the Director and Operations Director in regards to Centre strategy and vision.

  • Mark Byrne studied BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting at Loughborough College of Art & Design, graduating in 1995. After graduation he worked in various sectors, including retail, before taking on clerical roles in the NHS and local government, he began employment at the RCA in the role of Administrator in 2007. Throughout his working career he has continued to follow his passion for fine art and film. Mark was made an RCA Fellow in 2014.
