  • Marek Bereza is a freelance interaction designer, currently working in London. He has degrees in both computer science and industrial design, and specialises in software development, physical computing and musical instrument design. He is also technical director at Seeper Ltd, a digital agency that creates large-scale architectural art installations.

  • Biography

  • Marek Bereza, born in 1982 in London, obtained a First Class Degree in Computer Science from University College London in 2000.

    Following six years in the computer industry, he studied Industrial Design Engineering at the RCA. After graduating in 2008, he headed straight for the freelance world where he has led projects from interactive installations to electronic toy prototypes, iPhone applications to air-con control systems. Past clients include Nokia, Nike, Vimeo, Ford, Hewlett Packard and Richard Rogers Partnership. Along side this he has developed a range of self-initiated projects relating to his passion for music, including gestural musical instruments, iPhone applications, physical musical instruments and music software.

      • Since 2008, Marek Bereza has been a visiting lecturer at University College London, Newcastle University's CultureLab and Tokyo University of the Arts. He is an active contributor to openFrameworks project (a platform for creative computer programming), and has used it to develop many large-scale public installations in several countries for a diverse range of clients, from the Ford Motor Company to the British Film Institute.
