Briony oversees a comprehensive programme to engage the interest, inspire the involvement and motivate the commitment of the College's alumni, donors and stakeholders.
Prior to joining the Royal College of Art in January 2017, Briony McArdle-Oakley worked for University College London (UCL) as a Senior Alumni Relations Manager with a focus on devising and delivering a new collaborative approach for the management of UCL’s relationship with students and new alumni. She started her alumni relations career at her alma mater, the University of East Anglia.
Briony's professional experience covers all aspects of the supporter journey, from the very first interaction with the institution to celebrating 60 years of a relationship. She works closely with fundraising and communications colleagues, believing the value of a Supporter Engagement arm in Strategic Fundraising should not be underestimated. Her team integrates alumni relations, regular giving and supporter engagement – they work across the College and closely with colleagues in Major and Principle Gifts.
Briony holds an MA in Conflict, Governance and International Development and a BA in Development Studies, both from the University of East Anglia (UEA).
