SustainRCA was formally established in 2011, with the goal of fostering and championing the role of art and design in developing critical thinking and user-centred approaches to create a positive, equitable and socially empowered future.
SustainRCA supported RCA students, providing tutorials, talks, workshops, book and film resources and access to a professional network. Sustain Talks, a public-facing forum that aims to inspire and educate, explored a wide variety of issues and runs throughout the year.
SustainRCA also worked and consulted with business, local and global organisations through tailored research and education programmes. The annual SustainRCA Show and Awards honoured the very best of graduate work, bringing to the fore excellence in sustainability, and showcasing the wide range of talent and expertise across the RCA.
