Purpose of the Committee
The Committee is responsible for advising senior management and, where appropriate, Council and its sub-committees on strategic HR issues.
Terms of Reference
- To consider strategic planning and policy matters relating to Human Resources, and to make recommendations to Council as appropriate
- To monitor the delivery of aspects of the College's Strategy relating to Human Resources
- To have oversight of the College's framework for the pay and conditions of College staff (excluding those staff whose remuneration falls within the terms of the Remuneration Committee).
- To have oversight of equality issues as they relate to the College's staff, including monitoring any pay gaps based on gender, ethnicity or other protected classifications.

Co-opted members appointed by Council on the recommendation of the Nominations Committee due to their expertise in areas relevant to the Committee's work of lay members (neither staff nor students) of Council.
Secretary: Director of HR
Quorum: Three members, one of whom shall be a lay member of Council.
