Awarded to a student project with ambitious production needs.

Passion Prize
Awarded annually to an Animation student at the end of their first year to assist with production and travel costs in their second year. This may be split between more than one student at the judges' discretion.

Industrial Design Studentships
The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 offers Industrial Design Studentships to British students which pay tuition fees plus a generous stipend and material budget (and travel costs on occasion) This is on a competitive basis, but with IDE students usually gaining approximately six scholarships per year. The Imperial College Master's Support Scheme
The Imperial College Master’s Support Scheme is a Government (HEFCE) funded scheme that aims to provide financial assistance totalling £1.5 million to academically excellent Home undergraduate students or recent Home graduates who might otherwise have been deterred from postgraduate study because of financial constraints. This generous award includes full tuition fee support of up to £10,000 as well as a £5,000 stipend depending on the level of household income. Anthea and Thomas Gibson Scholarship
Makes £500 - £3,000 award(s) to second-year students based on submission of proposals during the year.

David Peacock Trust
Makes awards to students of £1,200 - £1,500 to those who show good potential yet face severe financial constraints.

James Dyson Foundation Bursaries
Six students are selected for Dyson Foundation Bursaries in their second year. The awards are made after all second-year students have presented their solo project ideas. The selection panel includes a director from Dyson.

1851 Royal Commission Scholarship
Covers fees and maintenance for two years.

History of Design

The Company of Arts Scholars/Mark and Sian Dalrymple Award for Historical Manufacture and Production in the Decorative Arts

The award is offered to a UK national applying in 2015 who intends to undertake research into the history of the decorative arts (pre-1900) from the perspective of manufacture and production. In addition to financial need and the standard RCA entry requirements, MA applicants should demonstrate a practical background and experience in manufacture or restoration/conservation in the decorative arts. The award offers a contribution of £3,000 a year towards fees for the two years of the MA, and is paid in addition to any College bursary award. The Friends of the V&A Scholarship
The Friends of the V&A Scholarship is offered to a student applying from the UK or EU who intends to work in a museum after graduating from the V&A/RCA History of Design MA programme. The Scholarship covers fees for the two years of the MA and also includes a maintenance grant of up to £3,000 per year.

The Oliver Ford Trust Scholarship

The Oliver Ford Trust Scholarship is offered to a student applying from the UK or EU who intends to undertake research into an aspect of the design of the domestic interior. The Scholarship covers fees for the two years of the MA and also includes a maintenance grant of up to £3,000 per year.

The Parasol Foundation Scholarship in History of Design (for Indian nationals only)
A new scholarship for 2014-15 for candidates applying to the V&A/RCA History of Design MA Programme from India. The student must be an Indian national. The scholarship covers full overseas fees for the two years of the MA and also includes a maintenance grant of up to £3,100 per year.

The Parasol Foundation Trust (formerly the Bonita Trust) is a philanthropic trust established under Gibraltar law in 2004, with its vision to help communities address some of the important health and education challenges facing them, leveraging cutting edge technologies and Internet-based solutions. Since its inception the Parasol Foundation Trust has committed over £15 million pounds to both communal based and cross-border projects in the areas of health, medical research, human community services, education, culture and heritage, female entrepreneurship and disaster relief.

Robert H. Smith Renaissance Sculpture in Context Prize (Renaissance and Early Modern Specialism only)
Eligible for students from the UK or EU applying to the Renaissance and Early Modern specialism of the V&A/RCA History of Design MA Programme. The prize is offered to a student who intends to undertake research in any aspect of Renaissance sculpture and its broad cultural and social context. The award offers a contribution towards the fees of £3,000 a year for the two years of the MA.
