I am interested in objects that fulfil real needs. My work focuses on recognising incidences where an apt solution is necessary but absent.

The first project, Tools to Service an Orchestra originates from a fascination with niche tools. The objects presented remove stuck tuning slides and mouthpieces from brass musical instruments, empowering musicians to service and repair their own instruments.

The second is a series of inflatable musical instrument cases. Using a comparatively cheap and lightweight technology, they provide the same protection as a hard-skinned case. Their ability to deflate crucially resolves the particular issue of storing large cases.
