During production the pieces are held while wet leaving a memory in the surface, a moment which can be seen and felt. I want

to highlight how we build relationships with functional ceramics, often giving objects human characteristics and imagining personalities based on our relationships with them and the emotional links they have to their owners or ourselves. I gently nudge at this by making pieces of which no two are identical, giving each one a unique aesthetic and personality while still sitting comfortably within sets or ‘families’ with similarities in style, scale and palette.
