• In Gao Shengjie’s art practice, she always rethinks and absorbs the idea of counterbalance in the oriental philosophy. It appears to be the form of partly receiving and partly rejection of both symbol and reality. The main concern of her artistic pursuit is that to explore the interplay/interaction between the remote unknown to the individual beings.
