Hybrid Devices
The project is an attempt to question the semiotics of domestic spaces by recognising the agency of everyday domestic objects that are largely taken for granted. Inspired by Corbusier's attitude to space making, where he exploits the tension between furnitures and the elements of architecture, the design opens up possibilities of using these domestic objects and intensifies the experience of dwelling through these hybrid devices which confuse the boundaries of where the object begins and the architecture ends.
