DIY Glory
There is a knowledge of ourselves as civilised and in control, and there is a knowledge of ourselves being subjected to a world and a future that is utterly unknown. From this unknown come desires, instincts and transgression-seeking behaviours.Â
During my time at the Royal College of Art, I reflected on experiences within a (gay) promiscuous lifestyle. Situated in Croydon (South London), me and my boyfriend engaged locally with pleasure-seeking men. Staging and documenting our encounters with these men has become an experimental tool that I used during this period to construct a multidisciplinary work comprising film, photography and installation.Info
