MA work

MA work

Through the use of traditional techniques in combination with new, my animated work seeks to create uncanny atmospheres that are identifiable, both visually and thematically. Whether using live puppetry or stop motion I believe it is essential for the viewer to be immersed in the film's environment; to achieve this I consciously choose to work with real materials, such as wood and card. I relish the opportunity to blur the lines between techniques in such a way that it becomes unclear to the viewer exactly how an effect has been created.
